Egis Road & Tunnel Operation Ireland
Egis Road & Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is an Irish company established in 2005. ERTO is part of the Egis Group.
ERTO's prime responsibility is to manage all processes associated with the Operation and Maintenance of the Dublin Tunnel. This includes Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and infrastructure inspection and Maintenance.
ERTO is also responsible for the operational management of the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork ERTO also operates the Motorway Traffic Control Centre on behalf of the National Roads Authority.
The Motorway Traffic Control Centre operates several services including electronic messages to motorists, Emergency Roadside Telephones and Advanced Traffic Management Systems.
